Good morning everyone!! I hope everyone had such a good week and a safe one too! We had transfers this week and so that kept us sooo busy. Elder Esplin left, and it was sad to say goodbye after just one transfer. They go by so quick. It's so sad. But my new companion is Elder Libby. He is from Morgan, Utah. We have so much fun together! We was up in Albuquerque before coming down to El Paso. We welcomed him with some nice hot weather. At the transfer site, where all the missionaries meet, it was so crazy. We had to keep everyone in their cars until their new companion showed up, switch everything and get them off while in masks in the heat. I was diffidently sweating, but I would be lying if I said only a little bit. I was so tired and wet from how much I sweat. We got everyone out in an hour and a half. Which wasn't bad I think. After loading out the trailer, re loading it, and getting everyone out of there, we made good time.
The picture of me and elder Libby with the weird candle looking thing is the memorial in remembrance of the shooting last August. Finally got a picture with it!!
The rest of the week was a blur. It is all starting to merge together. But that's okay cause I read an amazing talk this week from this last conference. President Russell M. Nelson's talk "Hear Him". In it he says, "What does it mean for you that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth? It means that you and your family can be sealed together forever! It means that because you have been baptized by one who has authority from Jesus Christ and have been confirmed a member of His Church, you can enjoy the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. He will guide and protect you. It means you will never be left comfortless or without access to the power of God to help you. It means that priesthood power can bless you as you receive essential ordinances and make covenants with God and
keep them. What an anchor to our souls are these truths, especially during these times when the tempest is raging." I read this and just instantly was so grateful to be a member of His church and be able to receive these blessings. I have reflected a lot this last week on what the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ means to me. What I have with it. And what I would have without it. I am overwhelmed with joy with the blessings I have received and will receive because of Him. These are scary times. We don't know the future. But we know our Father. And as we trust in Him, we don't have to fear because he loves us and is taking care of us whether we see it or not. I'm grateful to know I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and you and all of us! That he has restored the gospel of Jesus Christ back on the earth so we don't have to walk in darkness. We can walk in light through the darkness around us.
