QuarentEaster

Happy Easter everyone! Well I hope everyone had a very good day yesterday. Hopefully a day you will always remember! Haha we did! We actually had an awesome day. All the other days are blending right together. We do the same thing almost every day. There are just little things that differs one day from another. But first off, how cool was it to participate in a world wide fast with people from all around the world. People from different backgrounds, cultures, and religions! Honestly fasting is sometimes really hard because you get tired and hungry and thirsty which usually leads into getting irritated easy and stuff like that. But I had no problem this fast. It was weird. But so cool! I am excited to see the blessings from the fast!

And now for Easter! I mean nothing too exciting but right off the bat in the morning at 8 am, we had an Easter devotional over a conference call and it was a great way to remember Jesus Christ and the why behind Easter and why it is so important. Then we tried to keep busy throughout the day. We dyed eggs. We made cookies. Just fun little things like that. But the biggest highlight of my Easter was being able to take the sacrament to someone we have been teaching. Her name is Damaris.

The rest of her family are members and... she has a baptismal date for this Saturday! And so in preparation for her baptism, we were able to go over with a member and give them all the sacrament. Really such a neat and spiritual experience. As we were closing up her mom said how before we came she felt really worried and short tempered and everything but after the sacrament she felt calm and she pointed out how she could feel the spirit in her home! Definitely highlight of my week!

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. I am grateful for a Savior who suffered and died for me. I know that we are never alone in this life because he went below everything so that he could know perfectly how to help each one of us individually and perfectly. Christ lived a perfect life and so for Him to enter into the Garden of Gethsemane and suffer and not only feel our sins, but our pains, afflictions, our heartaches was something new for Him, yet He did it "because of his loving kindness and his long-suffering towards the children of men."(1 Nephi 19:9). He suffered, died, and HE LIVES! And because He lives, we can too. We have the opportunity to return and live with our Heavenly Father again, and with our families for eternity. I am forever grateful for my Savior and all He did for me so I can live again.

Also it is spring time and the flowers are blooming!!!
