Fabens!!!

Buenas tardes a todos!! This week was busy and fantastic. Many miracles and the hand of the Lord in everything we do.

Monday afternoon at like 3 we went up to Albuquerque. We had MLC! So we ended up leaving around 4 and so with dinner and everything we ended up getting up there at 9. And then it is get to bed because we had to be up at 5 the next day so everyone could get ready and shower. So Tuesday we were up at 5 and out the door at 7. We got to the church at 7:30 and ate breakfast and then the meeting started at 8. SO MANY great things were talked about. It was awesome! Going into it I wasn't sure how it was going to go, especially with what I had heard about it before but I thought it was good. PLUS GUESS WHO I SAW!?!? ELDER BOSTOCK!! Haha he is my favorite. So of course after talking we had to take a picture. And so the meeting got over at 6 and so after that we headed back down to El Paso. We ended up getting home around 10 which was really good time. And hit the hay because it was a really long day.

Forever ago when I was with Elder Ausborne and Johnson for like 3 weeks, we tracted into this lady. She was super cool! Not a member anymore but super nice and friendly. She even had 3 sons serve missions. But her husband is the quarterback coach at UTEP. Way back when we found them they told us they wanted to have us over for dinner. Well of course we said yes and exchanged phone numbers. Well.... We ate dinner with them this week! It was really fun! We were able to talk about alot and they are great people, just sad to see how they went down a different path. But one day ;) He also brought his starting QB to the dinner who is a less active and so I mean they were helping us out! But it was really fun, something I had been looking forward to and so happy we got to go over. We walked out and got in the car. As we were about to drive away, she is like hopping out to us barefoot yelling, "you forgot your kisses!" She had gotten like huge Hershey kisses for us which was super nice and we forgot them. That was super funny.

est day of my life! (Not really but it felt like it.) On Saturday we went back to Fabens! The wife of Elpidio (recent convert there) got baptized! I had worked and worked and worked with her. I got a call weeks back from the elders there saying that she was going to get baptized and Elpidio had asked if I would conduct the meeting and be a witness. Of course I said yes. This week rolled around and things just kept popping up and honestly we didn't think we were going to make it. So we canceled everything and told Elpidio we weren't going to be able to make it. He told the elders there he wanted to move the baptism to a day I could be there. But they said no we shouldn't because it is super important she is baptized. Well, Friday night, everything just cleared up and we could go. So we suprise came and it was really cool. The spirit was so strong. I love baptisms. Plus I got to see all my favorite members of all time there. I walked up to Hermana Morales and she says, "Welcome home!" And I said, "It is good to be home." Haha kinda funny. I absolutely love it there.

Bonus of going to Fabens.... there is a member there who is a chiropractor and so he adjusted us after and we feel amazing!!

Cool funny miracle story. On Sunday we saved all our studies for the night because of the super bowl. So after church we went out contacting. As we went walking, we felt like we needed to contact someone. So we called but no answer. So we went by the house because the spirit was telling us we needed to. So we knock. Then knock. And then once more. No answer. We were like dang we felt so good about it. So we went to the church to call people and studies. Between calling people, she calls us and was like I missed your call. I'm so glad you called. As we talked, she had told us that before she worked on Sunday's but changed it so she could start coming back to church. Following the spiritual prompting to call her  led us to getting in contact with her!! So cool!

Spiritual thought!! There were a couple things said at MLC that were like woah! The one that I want to share is one our STL shared. She said, "Being obedient helps us access the Atonement, and that's what changes us." Obedience is the first law of heaven. All blessings come from obedience to something. But I LOVE the Atonement. As we are obedient, we repent. And as we repent, we are accessing the Atonement which is what really changes us. So cool!! 1 Nephi 21: 15-16
