Good afternoon everyone!! This week was a good week! Not a bunch happened this week but I will do my best to describe two things that were pretty fun and funny this week! They will be out of order but still good stories.

| Bradyn and Elder Bostock on top of a bridge |
The last couple Fridays, we have been having two dinners. We have this member who loves feeding us on the weekly but then when we call to cancel the other dinner they get mad because they always like feeding us too, and so we always end up with two on Fridays. This last Friday, we had two dinners. For the first one, we ate this like crock-pot cream cheese chicken. It was about the whitest thing that I have had out here, but it was so good! With it, we had salad and toast. As we were eating she kept bringing out toast. Elder Bostock wouldn't touch a piece and so I ate all 6 that they had. super bad idea to fill myself with carbs on the first dinner of two. But if people bring out food, I know I don't have to eat it but it is just mean if they give it to you and you don't eat it. So after eating more than I should have for the first dinner, she brings out dessert. She brought out this pineapple pie. Now I don't like pie but that stuff was so good. She brought out the pie and asked if we wanted more water. We said yes please. She brought us out two bottles of water and then asks, "quiere mas hielo?" (do you want more ice?) I thought that I had an idea of what she said but wasn't sure and so I asked her to repeat what she said. Once again she asked me if I wanted more ice. Well if you haven't caught on, ice in Spanish is hielo, and it sounds like jello. And so me, being the awkward person that I am, I asked her, "Jello?" At this point, Elder Bostock finally decided to join this conversation and says ice. I then turned to her and said, "yes please." (In Spanish of course). She brings me ice and asks if we wanted a fork or spoon. We both said fork and she brings out more forks. She then leaves the room and I turn to Elder Bostock and say, "I really wanted a spoon but I didn't know how to say it so I had to ask for a fork." I don't know why but it was so funny!! We laughed out loud for a solid five minutes. I haven't laughed that hard my whole mission. But now looking back, its just a great story. Then after, we went to our second dinner. We ate cow tongue tacos. They may sound bad but they were some of the best tacos I have had. The only down part was they didn't sit well. Lets just say seven pounds later they all went through me. Super bad but super good tacos. |
| Our chalk art of the Plan of Salvation |
Last Tuesday we just were sick of knocking and nothing was going good. And so we started looking through pages of ideas to do to find new people. We came across this option about chalking. We were so bored and so we went to the store and got some chalk! We then went to a pretty busy park that is in our area and chalked up the Plan of Salvation!! It took some time and honestly when we went there weren't that many people there but it was fun. We didn't stick around to see if people saw it (I am sure someone saw it) but we left our phone number and.... no one called. But hey maybe that got some curiosity going in someone or just planted the little seed that they needed in the moment. So even though we didn't get anyone new from it, I hope that there was a seed planted in someone. As we drew out the Plan of Salvation, it just reminded me of how amazing it is and how lucky we are to have the opportunity to live with our families forever. It is amazing how much our Heavenly Father loves us.
I love you all, have a great week.
