It has been a FAT minute! But here I am and still alive! (don't worry grandma) Believe it or not we are just go go go and there isn't much time to sit and think so by the time that p day rolls around you are so tired the thought of emailing makes you even more tired. But this week was a really good week and so I thought I would fill you all in on somethings that have been happening.
First off, I am still with Elder Libby and just loving life with him. I have been so blessed with lots of amazing comps in my mission and he is one of them! We like to cook a lot too. We cook as much as we can and we do it together. Which I think is fun! More fun than cooking alone! Another thing that has been awesome about being with Elder Libby is that we help each other be the best version of ourselfs. We are always trying to help the other and help each other be more obedient. I am grateful for that because obedience by yourself is hard. But having someone with you and being on the same page as them makes life lots easier.
We had zone conference this week and IN PERSON!! It was just our zone and it was about four hours long. It was perfect! It has been months since we have had our whole zone together for a meeting. It was weird but felt so good. The things talked about too were amazing. I think over all, it was a great reminder that GOD IS IN ALL ASPECTS OF OUR LIFE'S! He really is! And of course after it was over, we had to sanitize everything and wipe it all down for the next zone. Ya know, this whole corona thing sucks but life is still sooo good! There is so much to be grateful for. Sometimes it is hard to focus on what we can't to but take a step back and look at all that we can do! Life is still fantastic!
Here is a really cool miracle story that we had this week. So I don't think I have written recent enough to tell you all that we moved apartments!! Swamp coolers in El Paso is not fun during the summer so we moved. Anyway, Elder Libby's birthday is coming up and so his parents sent him a package. We were waiting and waiting and it never came. And so we got ahold of him mom and he had the prompting to ask her what address she sent it too. Lol she sent it to the wrong one. so we went and checked and it wasn't on the doorstep and we knocked on the neighbors doors. One of them answered and she said she hadn't seen a package. We went to the mailbox. Not there. To the office, no answer. We called them and called them and then called the emergency number because trust me, packages to missionaries are very important. No answer. And need I say, I had a Christmas package stolen at this complex and so I wouldn't have been surprised if it had gotten stolen. So we went back home and spirits were down because that was his birthday package. Well we kinda went our own ways and both ended up saying prayers. As I prayed I told Heavenly Father that the package is important to Elder Libby, which means it is important to me, Which means it is important to Him. I asked him to help us find the package. Well I knew that Heavenly Father would help us out after we did all we could do and so I grabbed the phone, called the complex again, the emergency number, ups, other missionaries to help. I did all I could do. Later that day we were getting ready to go to the church and we had the feeling to go check. We pull up and the package is there!!! The whole time I lived there ups never came after noon. And so we thought we were toast.
I think this is an awesome story. There are a couple things I learned as I look back on it. First off, Heavenly Father HEARS and ANSWERS our prayers. Second, even though it was just a package, because it was important to us, it was important to Heavenly Father. Third, He is there in EVERY aspect of our life's. This was a fun little story but for me, it is a spiritual memory that I never want to forget. One that strengthened my testimony for sure.
I hope this makes up for my lack in writing. I'm going to be sending loads of pictures. Sorry if I have already sent them before but enjoy!!
