Blessed and Happy

Good afternoon everyone!! This week has been crazy busy yet crazy fun! We started off the week strong with exchanges. At about noon we got a call from the other elders and they were like, "we are going to have to end exchanges early because Elder Marsh may have broke his foot." So we hurry and ended exchanges. But long story short after being in the doctors office for hours, Elder Marsh walked out with a boot. While he was there with another elder, we went and visited people and were able to invite a girl we are teaching to be baptized!! We are super excited for her! We ended that night with soccer. Poor Elder Marsh just had to sit and watch us play. But sadly because of the corona virus, I don't know the next time we will be playing.

Wednesday we went and helped a gentleman in the English ward down here with yard work. It was awesome to get some sun and do some yard work. We also took some selfies with a tortoise.

Friday and Saturday was sad. It was just me and Elder Skousen on Friday and we were having an awesome busy day! Then right before a lesson we got a call from President. He asked to talk to me after talking to Elder Skousen. He told me that Elder Skousen would be leaving the next morning to go home. He gave some more details and then we headed to our lesson. We decided not to be sad about it all and we had a really awesome night! The next morning we woke up, got ready, and took Elder Skousen to the El Paso airport. We took one last selfie with him. It was really hard to see him leave. Someone I have grown to love was going home. Made me think of how our Heavenly Father feels when one of His children walk away from Him.

Being able to have the Sacrament in our apartment this last Sunday was awesome!! The spirit was super strong and it was another testimony builder to me. That we have God's power on the earth and because we do, we can renew our covenants with God even without being able to go to church. It was awesome!!

Spiritual thought this week comes from 1 Nephi 11:17 And I said unto him: I know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, I do not know the meaning of all things. There are so many things going on right now in the world. Things that we are unsure of or scared of. But I LOVE this verse because althought we do not know all things, our Heavenly Father loves us. He knows everything. And I know as we rely on Him through uncertain times, He will guide and help us through everything we will go through in this life. We are so blessed!!!
