Hey everyone!! It's been a FAT minute.... Oops lol!! Everyone life has been so fantastic I can't even start. This last week we had zone conference and so the Assistants were staying with us and it was my last time seeing Elder Bostock in the mission. Really sad. He goes home this week. Zone conference was soooo good I don't even know where to start. We of course had it in person. And it was so good and spiritual and just what our zone needed. One thing President Weathersby said was, "Satan is only going to go after you when you are on the right path." If you aren't seeing opposition and stuff like that in your life, take a step back and evaluate. Satan won't try to get you off of a path you aren't on, and we should all be on the path that leads to eternal life.
We got transfer news this week!! Well, actually yesterday!
We are working with some pretty amazing people right now. I feel completely blessed. First off Juan!! Juan is amazing we were teaching him a while back and then he ghosted us and fell off the face of the earth and we were just sad, but after calling his mom and some other phone calls we finally got in contact with him and he is progressing amazingly. It couldn't be any better. He has a baptismal date for September 26th. So keep Juan in your prayers that he will make his date! Something cool about Juan is that he has given up smoking, coffee, and tea to be baptized. We went over one day and he said, "I was planning on reading what you asked me to read and then going to smoke. But after reading I didn't have the desire to smoke." We were so pumped. It gets better. We go back the next time and he says, "Elders I have something to tell you. I haven't smoked since the last time you came." And to this day he is clean and ready to be baptized!! He literally shows the power of the Book of Mormon in conversion and changing. Absolutely amazing.
Jose is another guy we are teaching. We got a call from a member one day and she told us that her uncle is not a member and living with her. So we started teaching him and he was progressing super good. But he got surgery this last week and so he is getting back up from that. Hopefully soon we can keep teaching him. But with this same family, we were talking with the members husband who is a less active and he told us that their son isn't baptized and is 9. And so we are going to baptize her son and uncle the same day!! They are amazing. I just feel so grateful for the chance to be a missionary. I studied through Come Follow Me this week and it literally is showing us what is going on in the world today. There were some things that stood out to me. The believers were steadfast in their faith and
followed the words of the prophets because they knew that they wouldn't lead them astray. But as the world around them became more wicked, more and more fell away from the church except those who had been "converted unto the true faith; and they would not depart from it." We have to be firm in our true faith. We have to be converted so for times like right now, we know where we stand and we won't move. 3 Nephi 6:5 "And now there was nothing in all the land to hinder the people from prospering continually, except they should fall into transgression." We are the only ones that can stop ourselfs from progressing and receiving the blessings our loving Heavenly Father has in store from us. The power is within us and it is our choice.
I'm not getting transfered. I actually am staying here with Elder Libby and WE ARE TRAINING!! We are so excited. I'm finally going to have a Hijo. #yay
I love you all and hope all is good. Have the greatest week!!!
